Bluebird Botanicals CBD
Bluebird Botanicals makes a number of good quality CBD products including extracts, creams, isolates, vape products, capsules, and more. To their credit, the company has an independent lab test each batch of CBD to be free of contaminants and to verify purity. The company is located in Colorado and was one of the early companies in the CBD space. Our favorite Bluebird Botanicals CBD products are their Hemp Extract Oil products (tinctures) and their Hemp CBD Capsules. We are not interested in their CBD creams and lotions because there is zero evidence that there is any benefits from using topical CBD, although we realize that CBD topical products are being pushed by the major national chain stores which seem reluctant, for the most part, to sell ingestible CBD. We are also disappointed to see Bluebird Botanicals selling CBD vape oil products. We understand that the demand is there but there are also significant dangers to vaping anything, including CBD, and the reasons are not yet clear. We have all heard the news stories about serious illness and some deaths caused by vaping various oils and the exact cause in unknown at this time (September of 2019). So offering and promoting vape oil products seems like a risky and all around bad idea. If we owned a CBD company that had a vape oil product we would pull those vape products until all the facts surrounding these sad vaping deaths are completely understood. We thing it is highly questionable for a company to sell vape oil products until the facts are known, as well as a possible risk to the overall company, not to mention the potential risk to those consumers who use the vape products. That said, Bluebird Botanicals is a high quality company offering high quality products, although as stated we think the vape products are a bad idea and the topical creams are probably not worth it. Overall, the company makes mostly good products but they are not our first choice.
Charlotte’s Web CBD
Charlotte’s Web is the company that started the CBD craze that was catapulted by the CNN special hosted by Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Their products are excellent but expensive, like most CBD products. Charlotte’s Web CBD offers CBD oil tincture products in a variety of strengths, CBD capsules, CBD gummies and CBD for dogs, and CBD topical creams. Their oils come unflavored and flavored. To the company’s credit they do not make CBD vaping products. Charlotte’s Web CBD is now a publicly traded company. The bottom line is that Charlotte’s Web makes exceptional CBD products.
Both Bluebird Botanicals and Charlotte’s Web makes excellent products but they are not our first choice.
