Some folks think flaxseed is a healthy superfood but others have reservations. In fact, some experts recommend that some people, such as women who have had certain cancers or who are at higher risk for certain hormone related cancers should avoid flaxseed. The reason is because flaxseeds contain phytoestrogens. Phytoestrogens, or dietary estrogens, are naturally occurring in certain plants. Although the evidence is not conclusive, some experts hypothesize that phytoestrogens could present an increased risk of certain cancers. Phytoestrogens could mimic estrogen in the body. The bottom line is there is a potential risk for certain people consuming flaxseed.

Too Many Unknowns About This Product
While the actual CBD included in these products may be of a good quality there is too much information that is not disclosed (see above) to make that determination. Neither the company website (or product labels) indicate whether or not the CBD used in their products have been tested by an independent lab for authenticity and purity. Further, neither the company website (or product labels) indicate what type of extraction method was used to produce their CBD. Was it a clean CO2 extraction method or a comparably clean method, or was the CBD extracted using potentially toxic chemicals. The company does not disclose this information, so we don’t know. All of the major CBD brands disclose this type of information but not Irwin Naturals. Further, the company website (or product label) does not indicate if the CBD which country their CBD comes from

So, for all of these reasons, the Irwin Naturals CBD brand is NOT recommended.

Also, the failure to disclose the source of their CBD, the extraction method used in addition to the failure to disclose whether their product ingredients were tested for purity and authenticity make it impossible to consider this brand.
